Arrival & Dismissal

Welcome to St. Joseph Catholic School! To ensure the safety and smooth transition of our students, we have established the following arrival and dismissal procedures for both campuses.

Arrival: The school doors open at 7:15 a.m. each day. The staff on duty will open and close the car doors when drivers enter the carline. Please help us with an efficient and safe carline drop off in the morning by having your student ready with all belongings before entering the circle drive. We start the elementary day in prayer promptly at 8 a.m. with the daily announcements. Students who arrive after 8 a.m. will be marked tardy. 

Dismissal: Regular carpool dismissal is from 3:30 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. Parents should arrange for their child(ren) to be picked up at dismissal time. If someone other than the usual person is picking up the student, parents are encouraged to notify the school office in advance so we can verify their eligibility. Any students not picked up by 3:45 p.m. will transition to After School Care.

Arrival: The school doors open for students at 7:30 a.m. at the Secondary Campus. Student supervision is not available any earlier than 7:30 a.m. First period begins at 8:25 a.m. Junior High girls should report to the gym before the start of the first period, while Junior High boys should go to the library upon arrival. High school students should report to the cafeteria. Students enrolled in dual credit courses will arrive on campus immediately after their Blinn class and should report to the office for further instructions. High school students who drive may park in the student parking lot after purchasing a parking sticker from the front office.

Dismissal: Parents should pick up their children at the same location as the morning drop-off. Secondary students are excused from campus immediately following the bell for the eighth period. Students participating in tutorials, athletics or other extracurricular activities should report directly to their designated location. Administrators/staff are only on campus until 5 p.m. Monday - Thursday and until 4 p.m. on Fridays.
