The St. Joseph elementary program provides a solid foundation of academics that will effectively equip students for success in later school years. This faith-filled education instills in students: self-discipline, motivation and strong work ethics.
The basic curriculum includes math, language arts (including phonics), science, social studies and religion. Along with religious instruction and sacramental preparations, students attend Mass twice weekly as well as celebrate Holy Days of Obligation and special feast days with student-led Masses.
Specialty classes include music, physical education, library and art. The school-wide enrichment program provides above grade level learning opportunities in small groups. It promotes creative and critical thinking.
Students may also participate in many other activities including Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Student Council. Extracurricular activities include competitions in Destination Imagination (creative problem-solving through teamwork) and PSIA (Private School Interscholastic Association) academic competitions. The teams have been extremely successful, taking many top honors.
Littles Lunches & Kitchen is the school's lunch vendor. A variety of lunch choices are available each day. Elementary students wear a basic required uniform.
After School Care is available until 6 p.m. each school day.
