Today, we want to shine a spotlight on someone truly exceptional within our school community. Regina South, a dedicated member of our school advisory board, has been an unwavering source of support and inspiration for us all. Regina's commitment to our school extends far beyond her role on the advisory board. She has generously given her time and resources to support our Spirit of St. Joseph gala, and her unwavering dedication to our students is evident through her acts of kindness, including gifts of food, love and prayers. We are truly blessed to have her as a cherished member of our school community.
While her contributions to our school are numerous, one of the most heartwarming aspects of Regina's story is her commitment to St. Joseph Catholic School, even beyond her son Luke's senior year.
Luke, a senior this year, has left an indelible mark on our school. He is a talented athlete, participating in football, baseball and golf for SJCS, and is also involved in the 4H shooting team. Luke's passion and dedication are a testament to the values we instill in our students here at St. Joseph Catholic School.
But what truly sets Regina apart is her commitment to our school's mission. She recently shared with me that she plans to continue supporting St. Joe's even after Luke graduates. Why, you may ask? Because of what this school has meant for him and their family. Regina recognizes the profound impact our school has had on Luke's growth, not only academically but also as a young person of character and faith.
This dedication embodies the essence of our school's mission. At St. Joseph Catholic School, we strive to form the whole student - mind, body and spirit - in a Catholic environment committed to a culture of belonging. Regina South, through her selfless support, exemplifies the very essence of this mission. Her love, generosity and unwavering commitment to our community are qualities that inspire us all.
We had the privilege of honoring Regina at the recent Celebrating Catholic Schools gala for the Diocese of Austin, where she was recognized for her outstanding contributions. Regina, alongside Father Brian and myself, attended this prestigious event, which brought together over 600 esteemed supporters of the Diocese. The evening was made even more special by the presence of our own Maria Sotolongo, Director of Admission and Development, who served as the emcee.
As we continue to celebrate Regina South's well-deserved recognition, we invite you to mark your calendars for Saturday, April 6. On this day, we will once again have the honor of recognizing Regina at our own Spirit of St. Joseph event. It is an event not to be missed, and you can purchase tickets or reserve a table to be a part of this annual event here.
Regina South's story is a shining example of the support and dedication that make our school community so extraordinary. We are blessed to have her as part of our St. Joseph Catholic School family, and we look forward to celebrating her and all that she represents in the coming months.
Regina- thank you from the bottom of my heart for your leadership, grace and support. Our school is so lucky to have you setting the example of the virtues of service and charity. I am also thankful for Luke and how he has positively impacted our school. I am especially glad that he and the rest of the senior boys have built such a bond of support for each other. You did a good job, Momma!
